# ENCY Academy — FAQ ## Access & enrollment **Do I need to buy something to access the Academy?** Most courses are bundled with an ENCY software license. If you have an active ENCY account (any product in the ENCY X family — ENCY, ENCY Robot, ENCY Tuner, ENCY Hyper, MachineMaker), you can sign in at https://learn.encycam.com/ with the same credentials and enrol in courses for your product. **Can I sign up without owning ENCY?** Yes — you can browse the course catalog without an account. To enroll you need an ENCY account. Sign up at https://encycam.com/register/ for a free 30-day trial of the software, which gives you Academy access. **How do I sign in?** Click "Sign in" in the header — this redirects to the ENCY SSO login (Keycloak). Your ENCY account works across encycam.com, learn.encycam.com, and the ENCY software itself. **I forgot my password.** Use the password reset link on the sign-in page, or contact support at info@encycam.com. ## Courses & lessons **How long does each course take?** Course duration is shown on the course page (e.g. "1 hr 30 min"). This is total video playback time — actual learning time including practice is typically 2-3x longer. **Can I take courses in any order?** Within a course, lessons are sequential — each unlocks after the previous is complete. Between courses, you can take them in any order, but Learning Paths suggest a recommended sequence. **Do lessons have subtitles in my language?** Many lessons have subtitles in 14 languages: Arabic, German, English, Spanish, French, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Chinese. Availability is shown on each course page under "Available languages". **Can I download videos for offline viewing?** No — videos are streamed via Cloudflare Stream HLS and cannot be downloaded. You can re-watch them anytime through the platform. **What are assignments?** Some lessons (especially in advanced courses) include a practice task. You complete it in ENCY, save the project file, and upload it through the lesson page. An ENCY instructor reviews your submission and either approves it (lesson marked complete) or rejects it with feedback to redo. **How long does assignment review take?** Typically within 1-3 business days. Complex assignments in advanced courses may take longer. ## Certificates **Do I get a certificate?** Yes — courses that have a certificate template assigned issue a PDF certificate automatically when all lessons (including approved assignments) are complete. **Where do I download my certificate?** Open your My account page at https://learn.encycam.com/my-account — completed courses with certificates show a "Download certificate" button. **Is the certificate recognized externally?** The certificate confirms completion of the specific ENCY course. It is not an industry-wide accreditation (e.g. NIMS, IPC), but it is widely recognized by ENCY customers and partners as proof of product proficiency. ## Technical **What browsers are supported?** Latest Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari. HLS video playback requires modern browser support. **Do I need ENCY software installed to take a course?** For passive watching — no. To actually follow along (practice, complete assignments) — yes, you need ENCY installed. Download the free trial at https://encycam.com/download/. **Does ENCY run on Mac/Linux?** ENCY runs natively on Windows 10/11 (64-bit) only. Mac users have run it via Parallels/VMware but this is not officially supported. Linux is not supported. **What internet speed do I need?** ~5 Mbps for 1080p video streaming. The player adapts bitrate automatically to your connection. **I can't upload my assignment file.** Check file size (50 MB limit). Supported formats are typically `.stcp` (ENCY project), `.osd` (Tuner), `.igs` (IGES models). If the upload fails, check your internet connection and try again — or use a different browser. ## Support **Where do I get help?** - For Academy issues: support@encycam.com - For ENCY software questions: https://encycam.com/contact/ - For your local dealer: https://encycam.com/find-dealer/
