# About ENCY Academy

ENCY Academy is the official online learning platform of ENCY Software Ltd. — the developer of the ENCY CAD/CAM/OLP ecosystem. The Academy translates real production workflow into structured courses so that CNC programmers, machine operators, robot programmers, and shop-floor engineers can become productive with ENCY in days, not months.

## What you get

- **Video-first courses**: every lesson is a recorded walkthrough in the actual ENCY software. Lessons include voice-over, on-screen highlights, and downloadable practice files (CAD models, sample projects, expected outputs).
- **Multi-language subtitles**: most courses include subtitles in Arabic, German, English, Spanish, French, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Chinese. Availability shown on each course page.
- **Learning Paths**: curated multi-course tracks for specific roles:
  - **ENCY Essentials** — for new ENCY users
  - **CNC Milling Operator** — milling-focused course chain
  - **Five-Axis Mastery** — multi-axis machining

## Course structure

Each course consists of:
1. **Overview** — what the student will learn, prerequisites, expected outcome
2. **Lessons** — sequential video lessons (3-15 typical, can be more for advanced courses)
3. **Materials** — downloadable practice files attached to the course
4. **Assignment** (selected lessons) — practice task with instructor approval
5. **Certificate** — issued after all lessons complete

Lessons are sequential — you complete them in order. Some lessons unlock only after previous ones are marked complete (LearnDash progression).

## Platform

ENCY Academy runs on a Next.js front-end (https://learn.encycam.com) backed by a LearnDash-based WordPress backend. Video is streamed via Cloudflare Stream HLS adaptive bitrate. Authentication is Single Sign-On with the main ENCY ecosystem (Keycloak `licsys` realm) — your ENCY account works on both encycam.com and learn.encycam.com.
